Hey guys,
I have been wrestling with this one all day, and have come up with nothing so far that seems likely to help me. When I log into KDE I receive this message, "Xsession: unable to launch "prompt=[<user>@<host>]$" X session --- "prompt=[<user>@<host>]$" not found; falling back to default session." I am able to click on okay and have it load KDE correctly.
I have read the other posts on this, and it seems to be related to people upgrading or testing out different window managers. My machine is a fresh install from the live CD, and the message began on my second login. I have installed all the updates, and even installed KDE 4.1.4 to see if that would help. Listed below are the system details, and thanks in advance for the help.
uname -a:
Linux nitelite 2.6.27-11-generic #1 SMP Thu Jan 22 17:22:40 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
Kubuntu version:
8.10 Intrepid 32bit
