    Where is netbeans?

I recently installed Kubuntu, Intrepid, and then decided to install netbeans 6.5. For some reason I am not able to get it started, and before the installation I was using it fine. I am believe that the netbeans IDE is not in my path variable, but I can not find it any where. Every time I try to re install the IDE the software keeps on telling me that it is installed already.

    Can someone please help me?

To locate the file, open a console and type:
    Code:
    whereis netbeans
This will show you all the locations that netbeans is found.
