Nvidia twinview difrent resolutions on Kubuntu 8.10 Intrepid [SOVED]

Hi , i have a Gforce 6000 card and i have setup a twinview but my monitors suport difrent resolutions one is at 1680x1050 and the other 1280x1024 but there is no such resolution in the nvidia-setup for the second monitor.I tryed ading it in the xorg.conf file but then the monitor shuts down and one one is working . and my english isn't very god so sry pleace help o and this is my xorg.conf it was genareted from the nvidia-setup

Looks like your problem might be there's only the "monitor" section for one monitor! Try using this page to get the timings you'd need for the other one.

According to your config one monitor is a CRT and one is an LCD screen, which one isn't working? Or is that part of the config wrong?

the two monitors are LCD the one that isnt working is BENQ 17" conectet whit VGI and the other is samsung 22" with DVI

ANG? I'm assuming you mean VGI. Hmm.

Check over my xorg.conf configuration and see if it helps you any. Also, have you tried running "nvidia-xconfig --twinview"?

i tried adding the resolution directly in the xorg.conf but now the monitor shuts down and now the xorg,conf loks like this

the HorizSync and the VretRefresh werent right and i manuali set them up with the right one thath i found in the monitor's manual
