Change 24-hour time to 12-hour time.

In an attempt to change my 24-hour time to 12-hour time, I went into the settings | Date and Time and tried to change it. Read the manual and it said it is set at 24-hour time. This is on my machine at work. But my machine at home is set at 12-hour time, and I know I made that change. I just can't remember how I did it. Please help.
