    Installing DVDAuthorWizard

    Hey, Folks.

Sorry to bug you (get it?), but I am having trouble installing DVDAuthorWizard. The instructions say to untar the package (did that). The run the Installer.kmdr script. That is what I don't know how to do. Could somebody help me with that, please?

    Thanks,

    Re: Installing DVDAuthorWizard

This is an old package, last updated in 2007. Several dependent packages are required. Have you read the README and checked to ensure that you do have all the other packages installed?

Looking at the contents of the .tar.bz2 archive, it looks like there are two installation files. The specified installer.kmdr file looks to be a script that is accessed and run from within Kommander.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.

      Hi, Snowhog--

I read the README and it says to click on the Installer.kmdr file to install. I click it and a Kommander dialog editor opens up. How do I use the dialog editor to execute the script, please?

      Many thanks,

I believe you need the kommander package installed or kommander-kde4. Once that is installed I'm guessing the .kmdr script will do its thing.

Have you tried the alternatives like qdvdauthor, which is in the repositories?

I see this being typed into the command line from a few places in google: kmdr-executor [path/]scriptname.kmdr
Did you try that command (kmdr-executor)?
