    Yes, but it disables the Alt-F2 "run command" function. It may have other undesirable consequences that I haven't discovered. I run Emerald, and use the right-click on the screen to initiate "run command".

      When I install Emerald and run command - "emerald --replace" anything happend !!!

        First things first. You have to have GLX enabled to run Compiz, and Compiz has to run right before you turn on the Emerald Window Decorator.

        So, is GLX enabled? Can you open a Konsole window and enter
        Code:
        glxgears
        and see the graphic, and get a frames-per-second (fps) count that is at least 250?
