errant Konqueror window keeps coming up, can't start Konqueror clean

I've got myself in to a very strange problem where when I open Konqueror (I normally use it as a file manager only), it opens both as a file manager and a browser. The problem is, the last time I opened it, I opened it as as a browser as well and the page I'm trying to open has swf content and it is not loading and eventually crashes the browser and the file manager windows. I believe I've set up the browser to open the last location so every time I open it, it goes to this misbehaving page and the only way to get out of it is to eventually terminate it which also closes my file manager window.

Does anyone know of a way to start Konqueror 'clean' so I just get that normal default page vs. the errant web page? I've looked at the options under: konqueror --help (when launching from a konsole window) but there doesn't seem to be an option to start clean.

I've also searched this forum for similar problems and Googled as well and can't find any help on this subject.

[SOLVED] errant Konqueror window keeps coming up, can't start Konqueror clean

OK, now I feel pretty dumb.

I tried opening a .jpg on my desktop and instead of using the default app, (Gwenview in my case), I selected 'Open With --> Other' and then chose Konqueror. WALA!!! It opened the .jpg, I quickly changed the website to google.com and now life is good!

Wow, that was strange. Just had to get creative ... well sort of anyway. It should have been obvious!
