I've used Kubuntu for years now and I've recently installed it for my dad. We are using a Shuttle k4500 box from newegg and all's good.
The question is about screen scaling. The computer came with Foresight linux which was total trash but being Gnome, it had a nice screen dpi adjustment. It allowed me to scale the entire screen up which made it easier for my dad to read the screen.
What I'm looking for is a dpi adjustment for KDE. Compiz has a magnify feature but it requires scrolling around the screen in the expanded virtual window. That's really annoying for full time use. We purchased a nice large lcd screen and I like the detail and screen space xwindows can provide in the 16x9 format. I just need a simple screen dpi adjustment. I want it to think the monitor is able to show something like 160 dpi instead of 96.
Thanks in advance.
