    Kontact import LDIF corruption

After installing the KDE destop on Ubuntu 8.10 I've had a look at Kontact and to try it out wanted to import my address book from thunderbird which i currently use.

I exported the address book as LDIF and tried to import it into Kontact. However once done most of the 'formatted names' have disappeared in the summary but when i examine them they are there and correct. The number and street addresses are missing completely although the suburb etc remain.

I looked at the LDIF file in Kate and all the information seems to be there.

I seem to have the same issue. I'm using Kubuntu 8.10 and Kontact 1.3 -importing from Thunderbird 2.0.0.19.

When the addresses are imported into Kontact much of the information is missing. Some names are there, but many are incomplete. None of the email addresses have survived.
