    strigi and memory sticks

I am using KDE4.1 and whenever i put my memory stick to back up some files, the copy operation finishs after a short time. But yet i am not allowed to eject to tick for at least another min! whats going on? in kde 3 you could eject once the operation was over. Is it strigi? what does strigi do? is there a way to stop strigi?
    Thanks:<br />Using a Toshiba A300-21H ,3GB ram,Intel Core2Duo 2Ghz,Mobile Intel® GMA 4500MHD,intel wifi link 5100. Tux wants you!

    Re: strigi and memory sticks

Strigi serves no useful function at this point. One way to disable it would be to press Ctrl-Esc and then find strigi (or some other processes with strigi in their name). From there you can highlight them or right click on them and Kill them.

I have a feeling it will restart, though, on your next reboot. If you go to System Settings and the Advanced tab, there may be a Nepomuk panel where you can turn strigi off from there, but I can't check at the moment.
