Well, the 2.0 number can be misleading. Amarok was actually rewritten from scratch with new technologies (like Plasma) in mind. As a result, many features aren't completed. However, by the time it gets to the equivalent stage as its predecessor, Amarok 1.4, it should be leaps and bounds better....blah blah.

The important part is what comes after the decimal...the zero.

Fortunately, as with all things linux, if you don't like you don't have to use it.

I still find it annoying that 2.0 was placed in the repositories before it was anywhere near ready. I love Amarok 1.4 and was eagerly awaiting the new version.
