    making live usb stick fails (SOLVED)

    So i am trying make a live usb stick. I have done this before without problems. Following is the error and my /etc/fstab, mtab and /proc/mounts. Also /media. There is a ton of crap in /media. I would like to know how to clean it up. I am guessing that all this crap was created by the isotostick script and it is causing isotostick to fail.

    $ sudo ./isotostick.sh kubuntu-8.10-desktop-amd64.iso /dev/sdb1
    Not verifying image...(no checkisomd5 in Ubuntu so skipping)!
    mount: could not find any free loop device
    Cleaning up to exit...
    umount: /media/cdtmp.Vf8811: not mounted

    $ cat /etc/fstab

    # /etc/fstab: static file system information.
    #

    EDIT:
    I ran a root shell and did:
    #umount /media/*
    #rmdir (all the cdtmp and usbdev directories)
    That cleaned up /media. Ran ./isotostick.sh kubuntu-8.10-desktop-amd64.iso /dev/sdb1
    Success!
    I tried Enlightenment once, it was pretty cool.
