--SOLVED--Having problems listening, ripping CD's

Hi, I know my sound works, because i get start-up and shutdown music, when using last.fm i get music, but when trying to play a CD i get nothing. I had to install KsCD in order for my comp to realize i had a CD in it. But still no music. I am also having issues trying to rip CD's, the CD wont show up under Amarok. Any ideas? Thanks!

well i manage to get the CD playing under Dragon Player, but that doesnt help me rip it. Any Ideas?

k3b is the traditional program for ripping CDs. Give that a try.

Thanks for you help! Now my only problem is it rips so slow!! Anyway to speed it up??
