Please do not use the CODE tag when pasting content that contains formatting (colored, bold, underline, italic, etc).
The CODE tag displays all content as plain text, including the formatting tags, making it difficult to read.
I just installed Openoffice3 and it did not set up as the handler in Thunderbird for doc, pps docx.
How do set it up to handle a everything?? Thanks in advance Richard
Open thunderbird then edit/preferences/attachments. Then under the downloads bit select View and edit actions and then select the file type, select change action and navigate to the appropriate OOo3 component. So for .pps specifically pick simpress and for .doc, swriter etc etc.
To navigate you will need to know that if you are using the .deb files supplied by Sun, Ooo will have been installed in the /opt directory. If it's from the repositories then it might be somewhere else - not sure.
