PLASMA CRASHED message and what does it mean? Using 8.10 Kubuntu

"PLASMA WORKSPACE-The KDE CRASH HANDLER A Fatal Error Occured-the application Plasma Workspace crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)."

Can/How I correct this to get back into Kubuntu as now I receive this error and after closing the error box the screen goes black and nothing else happens?

Thanks to any and all helping me.

You should be able to fix this by typing Alt-F2 and then typing "plasma".

That should restart plasma after it crashes. No need to reboot or log out or anything like that.

And if Nates suggestion doesn't get it try ctrl-alt-backspace, that should bring you back to a login screen without a reboot/shutdown.
