I am a new convert to Linux looking for apps that replace the functionality that I have under Windows. One aspect that I am stuck on at the moment is video conversion for the Creative Zen player. I can see it in Gnomad2 and can get it to come up as a USB drive, but I cannot yet successfully convert video for it. Under Windows, I used either Creative's converter or Any Video Converter, both of which - as far as I can tell - do not run under Wine.
Currently I am wrestling with Avidemux but cannot achieve settings that will allow the resulting video to play on the Zen. I like Avidemux for its speed and configurability and would like to get that to work. Does anyone have experience converting video for the Zen with Avidemux or for that matter, any native or wine compatible video converter? Thanks.
