    [SOLVED] VirtualBox Internet - Vista

How do you get internet after installing Vista via VirtualBox? My notebook currently has internet access (using Wifi) in Kubuntu. Normally, my notebook can use the Wifi without having to install drivers too. I just did an install of Vista and it's Wifi is not working. Will I have to reinstall drivers for it in Virtualbox or is there something I can do first?

It's normal that you don't see your wireless device in Vista.

    You should:
    1) Connect with Ubuntu (knetworkmanager) to your network.
    2) Configure your virtual machine and change its network settings. Choose "NAT" and check "cable connected".
    3) Start your virtual machine (Vista). You should see a wired network and be able to access internet.
    4) If it doesn't work, try to play with the VM network settings (Adapter type, ...). What do you get if you execute "ipconfig" in a command prompt.

No, you don't have to install any driver in Virtualbox.
