    opensync problems

    HI
When I try to install opensync-plugin-kdepim I am getting the following message
    opensync-plugin-kdepim:
Depends: libkcal2b (>=4:3.5.7) but it is not installable

on searching for libkcal2b it doesn't appear to be in the repositories. Does anyone know where to get it or how to get the plugin to install?

I have also installed Sunbird and the Opensyncv plugin but when I try to sync with sunbird using msynctool I get the message
    Error while synchronizing: (null)
Has anyone managed to use opensync with sunbbird and if so did you need to configure the member sunbird-sync.

    Thanks
    Michael

    Re: opensync problems

When you have enabled KDE4 PPA's in ubuntu, there is a big chance things will not work for you with opensync part for the actual syncing. The reason for this is that in those repositories, KDE4 depends on an experimental version of opensync which is not backwards compatible.

    See here: http://www.synce.org/moin/SynceWithUbuntu

I'm new to Linux but to my understanding, Intrepid Ibex runs KDE4, which from the statement above is not compatible with OpenSync?
