I recently upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10.
One of the main issues I'm having is the ability to run slideshows in OpenOffice Impress 3.0 in full screen mode. The slideshows will run, but the panel is constantly visible at the bottom of the screen.
I've been through the desktop options, as well as the options in OpenOffice, and I have not managed to find anything that seems like it would allow for the presentation to be shown on top of the panel. Even a Google search proved fruitless.
A few of the games I have installed (Sauerbraten, Tremulous, Armagetron Advanced) can run in full screen mode, so I know that things can be shown over the panel.
I've also seen that some have removed the panel completely, and placed the widgets on the desktop. I tried this once before, and it did not go well, and I'm not terribly interested in going through that experience again.
Any tips, tricks, or advice on how to resolve this issue would be most appreciated!
