can not print several sheets

Hello to all.
After upgrading from kubuntu Hardy to Kubuntu Intrepid I found that my linux distro is not more able to print in decent way !
I have an Epson DX3800 that was 100% working with Hardy. Now I am not able to print in grayscale, even if I select Grayscale printing I have color print of my job. And I am not able to print several pages of the same sheet , if I need to print more pages of the same document I need to print more times the same job. Hard to believe from kubuntu !
What is wrong ? Anybody has soluztion to my troubles ?

did you find any solution? I am experiencing the same problem, not being able to print more than one copy at a time
