    KDE Version?

I upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10 (64 bit) and now running Intrepid with all current updates including backport stuff with KDE 4.1.2

    When I run "KDE-Config -v" I am shown as running v3.5.10

I wonder what the problem is.

Also how do I upgrade from 4.1.2 to 4.1.3; do I have to do a special command or should it have auto updated via synaptic?

    The way to see by faith is to shut the eye of reason .....Benjamin Franklin<br />Kubuntu 9.10 x64&nbsp; Xbuntu 9.10 x64&nbsp; Win7 x64 Ultimate<br />Linux User: 416878&nbsp; &nbsp; Kubuntu User: 22154

    Re: KDE Version?

Some parts of KDE4 (amarok, k3b, etc) are still from 3.5.10, however your version is 4.1.2. Look in Dolphin at Help->About KDE and do the same for k3b or amarok.

    There is no special command to get 4.1.3, just update it via your package manager.&#160;

The latest KDE 4 update 4.1.3 has moved to the backports section of Kubuntu 8.10.

To install it enable Unsupported Updates in Adept, then under Changes click on Upgrade and Apply.

        > FAQ: Version info

There are (your KDE 3.5 version):
        Code:
        kde-config --version
        and (your KDE 4 version)
        Code:
        kde4-config --version
As Fintan tells: KDE 4.1.3 is now at the backports (unsupported updates) and maybe later it could be at the intrepid-updates > KDE 4.1.3 into intrepid-updates

        Hi

I'd like to proposed KDE 4.1.3 can be moved to intrepid-updates. I'd
also like to ask about a standing allowance for KDE bugfix releases to
        go into -proposed/updates.

        The fixes are well documented
        http://www.kde.org/announcements/cha...1_2to4_1_3.php

and the release is currently in intrepid-backports with no reports of
        regressions...
        Before you edit, BACKUP !

Very nice -- thanks guys. I tried to grab a screenie -- I dunno if you can make out the "4.1.3" on this one or not:

          Happy here!
