    Panel widgets overlapping/oversized

Hi, my panel widgets have just stated acting funny when I went to the panel settings button. Before I opened the setting the widgets were all set out nicely how I wanted and were spaced well but now they are all overlapping and are funny sizes, ie the clock is a third of the length of the panel while the system tray is half the length but they are all overlapping over other widgets. The task manger is covering the pager widget, with the system tray appearing right in the middle of the task manager meaning I cant click on a few windows that appear under it, and the clock is overlapping the task manager too.

Any ideas how to fix this? It just seems the widgets need resizing as they are overlapping because there isnt enough space. I have no idea how to do that though....

Ok it seems to have fixed itself back after just shuffling the order of widgets around for 10 minutes, no explanation why, although the icons in task manager are now about twice the size they used to be, the widgets sizes are back to normal, plus the icons in the system tray are displaying now instead of being invisible (still with boxes around them though).

I have done nothing except play around with the panel size and widget locations, it would be nice to know if there is a way to change these things for when it happens again rather than accidentally fixing it.

      I once reported a similar bug. https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubun...ce/+bug/280099
This should be fixed in KDE 4.2

Yup, I can confirm something similar. I added a widget (calculator) and the whole panel went crazy, when I removed the calculator, logged off and on again things have returned to normal other than the order of some of the panel icons.
