Are keyboard shortcuts working for you?

I right clicked on the K menu and then clicked on Menu editor ..
In there, after choosing an application on the left, I chose the Advanced tab on the right and assigned it a keyboard shortcut .. Then clicked on Save and closed the menu editor ..
But the shortcut isn't working ? I even tried restarting the system ..
how else would you assign shortcuts to individual apps?

Apparently, at least for the moment, in Intrepid Ibex, you can't.

I tried doing so this evening. I experienced the same thing. The setting appears to be saved - I can go back in and see that it is - but the designated shortcut does not work.

Same issue for me. I'm really missing that feature since I've installed KDE 4.
Specially to quickly open a terminal (Konsole).

Have you tried Yakuake for quick terminal access? Once you install it a quick F12 drops the terminal down, and F12 makes it roll right back up. Very handy.

Thank you so much! I never heard about Yakuake before. It's exactly what I need. It's even better than the multitab Konsole I was using before.
