Can't get the Firefox icon on the desktop

I had to rebuild my desktop environment. Before I did it, and before the video crash that resulted in my building the desktop again, I had Firefox installed with an icon for it on my desktop. After I rebuilt the desktop environment, the icon was no longer there. :-( How do I get the icon back on the Desktop
