Wireless networks show up, won't connect

I just upgraded Kubuntu on my ThinkPad laptop to Intrepid. Now wireless networks show up fine, but won't fully connect. It gets to the IP Configuration stage, then just stops. This has been true for the two networks I have available to me. One network is secured, the other is not. The Ethernet works fine.

    Any advice is appreciated.

Re: Wireless networks show up, won't connect

I have a IBM T43 with an intel pro card and spent the beter part of 2 day with this issue and the only way to get it working was to let it boot and connect with default drivers. Then once it has connected to the wifi re-connect it to the same wifi. This goes from 2 bars to 4 bars and stays there.

I tried the ndis thing, the new firmware, and about 20 other things, and none of them worked, and t required q rebuild.

Good luck and sorr i could not help further.
