Start dolphin and console via keyboard shortcut

    Hi!

I have recently updated my system to Kubuntu 8.10. In KDE3 I had some shortcuts to start Console and Dolphin but whenever I try to create such keyboard shortcuts it does not work. I tried using system settings and via menu editor.

    Can somebody please help?

    Thanks

(To edit entries owned by root, you have to access the K Menu editor as root
    Alt+F2 and type /usr/bin/kdesudo /usr/bin/kmenuedit)

Click on K Menu > System > Konsole
    Click the Advanced tab.
Click on the Current shortcut key button. To set the keys desired, press and hold each key you want to use and then let go of the keys.
Click on Save to update the changes.
    Exit the editor.
You have to restart KDE before the shortcuts are active.

All this said however, it doesn't work - I've tried it. It's supposed to. The created shortcut key is 'saved' but even after a KDE restart, the shortcuts don't function. :P

Oh - so this is a known issue?

Probably known by someone. I haven't bothered to see if a bug report has already been filed on it, but I'm sure one has. It will fixed - eventually.
