I think the issue here is a KDE3 application in KDE4. If you try to get help from DigiKam (the 3 version) on a 4 system it will not work either. It's looking for the help application from KDE3. DigiKam has a full KDE4 release planned for early next year, it's at Beta 5 or 6 right now. Maybe they can speed that up a bit?

Detonate. Holding the shift key does delete it without a problem. That is good enough for me.

I must say, I've been using linux for many years. This Kubuntu 8.10 release is the least ready for prime time that I have ever seen. With all of these applications that are not ready for KDE4 it is frustrating.
