    Uninstalling Vuze

Thinking I was still in windoze (silly me!), I extracted the Vuze tar on the desktop, which placed a folder for Vuze on the Desktop. Then I went into the folder and installed Vuze. What I do not want is that folder to remain their. Please correct me if I am wrong, I can't just move the folder to somewhere more convenient like, say, a "Programs" folder in /usr, can I? Don't I first have to uninstall Vuze, move the folder to the location where I want to permanently keep it, then reinstall it? Or is there a better way? Many, many thanks in advance for your help!

    Re: Uninstalling Vuze

Ok, good report! I have Vuze installed now and it runs from the KMenu. However, I still have the extracted Vuze folder and the Vuze Installer tarball on my Desktop which I do not want to remain there for obvious reasons--just not good places for them. Can I delete these? When I installed Vuze from Adept, did it install everything appropriately, meaning did it exclude installation of Vuze on my Desktop where have the Vuze folder on my Desktop is not needed in order for it to run Thanks.

Thanks And is there a way to log "Thanks" in Kubuntu Forums, as there is in Ubuntu Forums? Also, I am looking for a way to mark the question as "Solved". Thanks again. theAdmiral 8)

No, it's been suggested before, but the group has never thought it worth doing.

You'll just have to send Snowhog a beer.

Return to your initial post in this thread, click the modify button and add SOLVED to the subject line.

And your kind reply is thanks enough. Besides, shipping beer through the mail across state lines is, I believe, illegal.
