convert kde3 kmail accounts to kde4 kmail accounts

I can't get my kde3 configs to create the accounts in kde4. I really do not want to have to setup all 20 of my accounts again by hand, nor the few sending accounts I have.

Has anyone had any luck with this?

I was able to get through this, in short here are the steps I took.
1) Opened the new kmailrc file and copied the [Account #] blocks from the old kde3 version into the kde4 version.
2) Search for accounts= and set it to the number of [Account #] blocks you enter/copied
3) Do the same with [transport #] blocks, except copy them to the file mailtransports for kde4

I didn't have to do anything for my KDE3 kmail stuff. After the upgrade from hardy, all my kmail/kontact stuff worked just fine. I don't have many accounts (4), but I do have around 20 filters that also worked just fine. I don't have a mailtransports file unless I am not looking in the correct place in either of my kde setups (one fresh, the other a hardy upgrade)

There is no 'conversion' between kde3 and kde4's kmail setup afaik.

hmm... I wonder what made my experience different then. Mine pulled all of the filters just fine, but failed to pull the accounts or transports.
