Folder icons won't change

So,yeah,I have a problem with changing icons.here,I found this ones are really nice:

But,folder icons stay default KDE blue.Others change,by the way.And I tryed a couple of other icons too,and from 4 or 5 icons I tryed only one or two actually changed folder icons too.Is there a way to change them?

And I'm using kde 4.1.

Well - The Everaldo crystal project is a nice theme BUT:

In the KDE 3.5 folder icons are in the filesystems - folder but in the KDE 4 they are in the places - folder. So now KDE 4 is looking those icons from the wrong place.

OK,so I need to copy them to that other place?And,where is "places" folder?

I haven't personally tried it, but it would appear that you can open KMenu>System Settings>Appearance, then click the "Icons" icon, and then click "Get new Themes" to open it, and in the right panel there you could add the everaldo site if you wanted to.

Can't you put the URL for the everaldo site there in the "address" window?

Well no,I don't see an adress window in "Get new Themes".There is only the "source" adress,and I can't change it.

OK -- sorry. How about where it says "Install Theme File" -- isn't that a URL window? Can you paste in your everaldo URL (to the file you want) there?

If you click on the "Icons" icon, on the bottom left of the window which opens is a button which says "Get New Themes", if you *click* on that it will download them from KDE Look automatically.

Well,it is location window.And I downloaded it,and used that window to install it.And every icon except folder ones are installed.How do I put folder icons to the location that KDE4 uses?

When I do that it just chages from install to uninstall and nothing is installed.Maybe because my internet isn't fast enough.I can download color chemes or wallpapers like that,but not theese bigger files...

I think, that you need to rebuild the icon theme, look at the > HOWTO : create own (partial) icon theme

also there differences between naming of the picture files: earlier > Topic: KDE 3.x Oxygen theme?

The two other themes which i installed are in: /home/malcolm/.kde/share/icons/

Tell Dolphin to show hidden files, and navigate from the .kde directory.

If you put them in there, it may work....

OK,I found them.But,all of the icons are there.Don't really see the point.What can I change for them to work?
