    mathematica window is invisible

    Ciao,
I am working with kubuntu 8.10 and mathematica 5.2.
Mathematica was working fine under the previous version of kubuntu.
After the upgrade, everything goes well, apart from the fact that in KDE 4.1 the mathematica window appears transparent or
completely black: I cannot see anything I type, even if I believe the equations are there, but invisible!!
What is happening? Do you thing an upgrade to mathematica 6 may help me?
In Gnome everything goes perfectly well.

    Re: mathematica window is invisible

    ciao Giovanni,
I have the same problem since the advent of kde4 with many apps like dragonplayer, kaffeine, krdc, varicad, (even with skype and virtualbox, but now with these two apps seems solved).
I noticed this problem only with nvidia grafic cards, what kind of drivers you use?

I've reported this bug on launchpad since many months ago, but anyone could resolve it.

Even on the qt forum was point out:
