    Sorry, muzicman0, I don't know why it doesn't work for you - I would only repeat myself.

    In Okular I could choose how many pages I wanted to print on an A4 and a few others, incl. US letter (if I had the paper ).

      I filed a bug report, and so far at least one other person has the same issue as I do...I will come back here and report if/when I have a solution...thanks everyone!

        Yeah i can print out numeous pages in A4, i can select many different paper sizes as well, but it will still only printout at the default A4. Thanks for the replies anyway.

          Okay, I've had OpenOffice default to letter all the time - very annoying.

          Some googling and reading pointed me towards the file /etc/papersize

          Mine said "letter" - a simple one liner which screwed up my whole system. I changed it to "A4" and haven't encountered any other printing problems as yet.

          What does yours say?

            I will check when I get home tonight...but...my open office works fine, and as expected...is only in Okular...but there is hope!
