How do I change the KDE4 menu button?

    Hi,

I have searched Google and these forums on how to change the KDE4 menu button but cannot find the information. I found how to change the KDE3 menu button but that doesnt work in KDE4 and I also did a search of the harddrive and found what I thought to be the correct png files in /usr/share/icons/default.kde4/ under the size sub-directories 32x32, 64x64 etc and changed all the kde.png files to the desired image but this has not worked either. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would appriciate it.

Well judging by the views there are a few people interested in the answer to this question so if anyone knows how to do this please let us know. I will continue looking for the answer and if I find it I will post it here.

      Hm... Perhaps in /usr/share/icon/oxygen?

I suppose some kickerrc file might tell you which icon is accessed, but the whole thing is not called kicker any more now, is it. Sorry I can't be of more help, but keep us posted

        Have a stroll through /home/username/.kde

or use lancelot and you can configure as you like with a right click

Hm, I'm fraid that is a bit cryptic for me, Fintan. Do you happen to know the file?

Nope, but I don't use kickoff or kicker. But logic says that the config file for the users version will be in .kde

On the other hand is easy to configure.
