The missing support for kde3 applications is a serious problem, preventing most people actually using their computer from updating. My key applications include digikam and kword, and there are no stable versions of those that can be run on kubuntu intrepid.
I hope there will be kde 4.2 packages for hardy, given this unfortunate situation. Or that there will be kde 3 application support in intrepid, since this seems to be the only sane solution.
