Yes this is my problem I don't know why help. I upgraded with adept and also now adept-manger is removed and I'm using synaptic. Okay bye.

Probably you have a video display problem, that is causing xorg to freeze (and thus the keyboard and mouse). Don't use the power button -- see this:

If you're running 8.10, boot "Recovery Mode" and then try the "Fix X" option, and then "resume normal".Comment
