      Re: PackageKit

      You have ?:

      - kpackagekit
      - libpackagekit-qt0
      - packagekit
      - packagekit-backend-apt

Hmm - PPA robots are just buiding kpackagekit (0.1-0ubuntu2~ppa1). Earlier version - kpackagekit (0.1-0ubuntu1) - didn't have amd64 support.

      kpackagekit and libpackagekit-qt0 are installing:

Well its no surprise to me that adept went under, I never liked it and it never gave the same decent functionality as synaptic did.

That seems to be the plan > Topic: Jaunty Release Schedule, Plans, KDE 4.2 >> Plans / Blueprints (part II)

The only thing I've found is KPackage. Do I need to install something else? I tried to install KPackagekit but nothing was found (not even on konsole). I added the repo mentioned above, I visited the launchpad website but couldn't find it there...

                  Note !

                  That was:
                  on: September 30, 2008
                  ...
This is with the Kubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex (alpha-6)

Back then > FAQ: Package Managers / PackageKit
These NEW packages will be installed:
                  kpackagekit libpackagekit-qt0 packagekit packagekit-backend-ap

When searching now: PPA repositories > Show PPAs matching: packagekit

                  There are (search finds):
                  > PPA for PackageKit-Team
                  and
                  > PPA for Jonathan Riddell

=> PackageKit-Team status is FAILEDTOBUILD for the Intrepid.
                  => Jonathan Riddell's PPA has old versions (0.0~git20080716, Wed, 16 Jul 2008)
