I am a little lost with this, although Its probably best not posted here.
I use VirtualBox (non-OSE) under my works laptop running Windows XP, I cannot use Wubi as they use Pointsec hard drive encryption and I'd rather leave the drive partitioned as is.
I have managed to get Ubuntu with guest additions installed and with a little help from a xorg.conf file, I get maximum resolution. This is running on a Dell Latitude D610.
When I install Kubuntu as a guest OS, I install guest additions and they work as expected, the mouse integration works and other things, all apart from the resolution which is set a 800x600. if I use the same xorg.conf file for kubuntu as I have for ubuntu, it doesn't resolve the issue and it doesn't display the login screen (black screen login prompt).
Is there something I'm not doing? Has anyone else had this same problem?
I thought intrepid was moving away from xorg.conf for resolution changes?
