how do we get this effect..I get this accidentally ?

Hi,
suddenly after doing some movements on the keyboard or the mouse
randomly usually while getting something on the back of my laptop
i turn back and see that i have these grids of all open windows on the
screen and I can select which window i want to focus on which is very
convenient. This is on kde4.1
But i don't know how to get that grid. any help ?

I figured something out: moving the cursor to the top left hand corner of the screen
gets me the grid. How can I control it with the keyboard ?

It's a compiz feature. Go to Advanced Desktop Effects Settings, and see which feature you have working that does this, and you should be able to determine what the key assignment is. I get this effect by using "Expo" and setting it to work by slamming the mouse to the top right corner.
