I installed it, not impressed.
Plenty of kludge in kde4.1.1, the jockey thing crashed all the time, and no password requested for the nv accelerated driver thing.
Could not be done as user.
Tried as root, then the fun really started, tried the second of the 173, 177 driver options, locked me into low res on reboot of 640x180, despite a newish 8600 pcie nvidia card.
The kde configuration is kludge after this too,
one cannot resolve the resolution any higher.
So kde 4.x seems truly a bump on the road, and if this is
the only offering from kde for the future in intrepid, woe is me.
Might have to become a Gnome user, perish the thought,
but it is so far better than kde 4.x
Guess I could edit X11/xconfig
but could not be bothered at the moment.
Good night good luck
