i just installed kubuntu a few days ago, and am duel booting with vista. i cant connect to the itnernet with kubuntu because it wont find any wireless networks! but on vista everything is fine. either im not connecting the right way or something is wrong. can someone help me walk through what to do?

An amazing number of laptops need the unreleased madwifi .10.5.6. If yours does, there are probably instructions for installation on the ubuntu compatibility page for your laptop.
I've also just discovered the joy of ripping out knetworkmanager and just configuring! Suddenly, my wifi works.
