    Showing Connection Stats?

    Hello all,

Can one configure networkmanager/knetworkmanager to show the various stats of a network connection - the type of network (a/b/g/n), the connection speed (XX MBPS), and so on when one either hovers the cursor over the system tray icon, or clicks on said icon? If so, how does one do it?

Alternatively, is there an alternative network manager that will display this information when one interacts with the system tray icon?

Here are screenshots of wicd. The first one is when I hover the cursor over the tray icon and the second one when I click on the icon. The connection quality is expressed as a % rather than an absolute number.

If using a wireless connection, also see man iwlist.
