    kubuntu 8.10 can't detect any wireless hardware

    heiiii.......
    ive installed kubuntu in usb through tutorial fron pendrive linux.
    the problem is here.
    when i type ifconfig in terminal, there is no ath0 and wifi0 detected
    only eth0 and bla bla bla (im forget)
    anyone can help me to install madwifi driver.
    im using toshiba A205-S5833 and AR5007EG atheros .
    Plezzzz. ..........

    That looks like the same, or similar Atheros chip as in my Eee PC. Maybe this:

    Will work (scroll down to the madwifi how-to).

    However, I'm also aware that there is now an ath5k driver, that works well for sidux, for those Atheros chips. I don't have experience with it for *buntu -- you might want to see if you can install the ath5k module.
