    [Solved] KNetwork Inconvenience

    Wireless issue:

I have an HP Pavilion Notebook (dv2700 most likely) with an integrated wlan switch (Integrated 10/100BASE-T Ethernet LAN I believe). Anyway, now that I have Kubuntu 8.10, everything seems to be working perfectly, except the lan switch. It doesn't switch on, it always stays off.

I have tried working with different things (ndiswrapper, wlassistant, etc.), and even ended up erasing Knetwork Manager. Now I can't even use the internet with an ethernet cable, because it doesn't recognize it.

So my 2 problems are these:

    1. My wlan switch does not turn on, it is not recognized
    2. By playing around, I have now removed Knetwork manager

Any help will be greatly appreciated !!
