new user-trying to get wireless working (router uses wpa-psk)

Hi, i'm a new user of kubuntu and relatively new to linux in general. The first thing i'm trying to do is get my wireless working so I can download updates. My router uses wpa-psk, but I didn't see the option to use this security method in kubuntu's wireless configuration, can anyone advise me or point me in the right direction? thanks in advance

Hi, thanks for the link, I follwed it's instructions to install wpasupplicant, but found it was already installed. I was looking for a way to see if my wireless device is being detected properly, something like device manager in windows, but could find nothing by clicking around, nor could I find anything in the help file. I do know there's a little orange light that blinks on my laptop when wireless is enabled, and that light doesn't blink when booted into kubuntu. Also I tried using the network manager in system settings rather than knetwork manager, but could find no place to input network information.

      Any further advices are appreciated
