In windows you can in under internet protocol ip tcp click advanced to assign multiple ips to connection, how to do it in linux? I need it because i got at home router that gives me digitaltv and internet. Previously i was only able to see tv through eth4 but i found how-to which disables dhcp server and basicly i think floods digital tv through every port and to every wireless connection. And thus i need to assign manually 2 ips to get both tv and net.

Re: I need help configuring net which cant be done through KnetworkManager
A friend has one of those tv & internet deals in Germany - he uses dhcp via his router no probs.
I've never heard of two ip addresses for one interface Having said that, my network knowledge is rudimentary at the best...Once your problem is solved please mark the topic of the first post as SOLVED so others know and can benefit from your experience! / FAQ

Re: I need help configuring net which cant be done through KnetworkManager
with default settings it works but with default settings i can get connection only to one tv (eth4), but with that how-to i can get more. Tv connection + internet to my computer, so i can look tv from computer using vlc. But this router "hack" works to all ports, so when u connect cable it will assign tv ip not internet so dhcp server is still there but assigning tv ips. And to get both from same network cable to computer i need manually set both ips. I did that already to windows computer and worked but older linux computers right now cant access internet anymore because of it.
