Kubuntu 8.10 Beta recognises and activates my D-Link DWA-547 PCI Draft-N adapter. This is an atheros based network card. Once activated, I can enter the ESSID and security password and make a connection. Unfortunately, Kubuntu then freezes. Does anyone have experience with this network adapter?

Hey, I have exactly the same problem with my Kubuntu 8.10 and my D-link DIR-615 wireless n router.
I turn on the laptop. it boots perfectly. I log on. I connect to the wireless network at home and after only a minute or two it freezes up. However, it works perfectly fine on the wireless network at school. Have you found any way to resolve this problem? I'm still searching the web for a solution.
