    got kubuntu installed, installed skype but not showing any web cam ,have logitech quickcam 5.3 installed how do i make it recognize it is installed

    Try installing the camorama package.

            Does it work in any other linux programs, such as cheese or camorama, or my personal favorite for cameras that use the uvcvideo driver, guvcview? Most Logitech cameras use the uvcvideo driver.

                OK, let's see if your camera is being recognized by the system. Open a terminal, and enter:

                Code:
                lsusb
                and see if there is an entry for your camera. In mine it looks like this;

                Bus 002 Device 005: ID 046d:0990 Logitech, Inc.
