How to launch the start menu panel

    Hello,

I've used Kubuntu 8.10 for a couple of days and yet I haven't found a way to access the start menu panel but clicking on the 'K' in the bottom left with the mouse.

Sure there must be a way do this with the keyboard?

    Any help would be appreciated.

What do you mean by that? Do you just want to START the Menu? Do you want to EDIT the menu (right click)? Do you want to do something else?

Yes, I just want to START the menu; but not by clicking on the 'K' with the mouse but with the keyboard.

        Hello again,

Alt+F1 is the shortcut I'm looking from what I understand.

However I just noticed that many, including the above, keys are dead; Both the preset keys and those I create.
