    Login setting for usb kubuntu live

    hi,

    My hard-drive crashed so I decided to make myself a usb version of Kubuntu live and now I want to use as a normal OS.

    How do I stop KDM automatically logging in to the 'ubuntu' user? I tried disabling auto-login in the login manager, although every time I reboot, this particular setting is reset. I would also like to prevent all the automatic tty logins that occur at startup.

    I don't really want the 'ubuntu' user, so once I have done the above, I will probably delete it.

    Oh and one other thing, is it possible to get the search that appears when one clicks the 'K' button to search for files as well as applications? I am new to KDE, but I would have thought this would be possible, maybe it is a default for a native kubuntu install, but disabled for the live version.
