I just installed Kubuntu 8.10 on a Mac Pro and am using VMWare Fusion 2.0.1. I had read earlier that there were issues with installing VMWare Tools on Kubuntu 8.10.
What I did is install Kubuntu 8.10 and then I extracted it into a folder on my Desktop. I then logged into terminal and used the command sudo ./vmware-install.pl and it said it didn't find that file. I did the exact same thing on a Mandriva 2009 install not long ago and also a Ubuntu 8.10 install without any problem.
Is this the way it is installed or did I do something wrong or is there a problem with it working on Kubuntu 8.10?
